The reason the dead center is soft is so it can be easily trued up before up the dead center in the spindle, it doesn't matter if it's hard or soft.

First lvl of Dead Center in VS mode, all of us have just grabbed weapons and med kits when a tank comes storming up onto the roof of the hotel, takes out all of us except me, I take out the tank from on top of a vent then save my team.
