Dont get me wrong he is a nice enough guy but he is just boring! His voice kinds of drones on, and apart from what he said about Frankie (he doesn't like the way he speaks about girls) He has pretty much sat on the fence, just floating around really.

So I guess to answer your question, it's King for the torrid affair, and Koontz for the boring (the '90s).
Otoh, Koontz knows how to wrap up a story neatly and tightly wihout degenerating into gibberish .
