I'm curious how we are doing in paying debt compared to others. We still spend a fair amount I feel.This does not include mortgage. Maybe you can respond like I did below. I am not including mortgage debt and "Pay" means how much debt paid off each month...

I've been with paying down debt.
Make: $53k a year (gross, single)
Debt: $15870 car
Pay: $670/560 (before move another $23k or so)
Debt: about $24k+
* Student Loan 1: $2200 remaining - $127 min payment.

Hi,
My mother passed away just before Christmas with no will and leaving no estate.
My family have now discovered that she had a few debts one of which was to a catalogue company. We advised the company of her death and even sent them the certificate....

...can anyone guess? They now hold 6.28 Trillion dollars of US Debt....ten years ago they held 2.5 Trillion dollars of US Debt. So in 10 short years they have almost tripled the amount of U.S. Debt that they now own.

In the unfortunately situation where you unexpectedly pass on...maybe a car accident or something like that, and you have debt, who is respopnsible for the debt.
I would imagine it first goes to a spouse, if you don't have that, what's the pecking order...

Assuming the debt is yours and yours alone, your estate.
Like that, and you have debt, who is respopnsible for the debt.

My oh set up a pension about 6 months ago. He has approx 100 pound come straight out his salary. Would it make more sense to put that money to our debt and restart the pension once we've cleared the.debt?
