Death metal vs Black metal?
Okay, i already posted another similar music thread, but can someone explain the differences in sound between death metal and black metal? I know black metal is from a different part of the world and it's often Satanic. But in terms of sound i think black metal sounds pretty much like fast death metal with higher screams as against death growls...

If you had to choose, would you listen to Death Metal or Gansta Rap and why?
Death metal, because it stimulates you emotionally and charges you up and gets you pumped and excited, plus there is no lyrics. As soon as you hear the lyrics in a ghetto ass gangsta rap you become dumber, the next thing you know you'd be robbing an Asian grocery store or something.

Any Deathcore,Death metal, thrash metal, bands in the 1940's, 1950's 1960's, 1970's?
Rock music just started in the 50's, the main ones were little richard and elvis. You didn't have metal until the late 70's like the above poster said.

Are there too many Melodic death metal bands out there?
I've noticed that a ton of melodic death tends to soften up everything. The drums and vox need to stay the SAME, and the guitars need to be the point where there is melody. Sure, it's a bit softer than the absolute rip-your-face-off stuff, but it still needs to be brutal.
