Its a little bit repetitive in the first half.
Its definitely reminiscent of Death and Obituary.
Concept.As a whole it reminds of the early american progressive/technical death/thrash bands....

Whats the difference between these two genres? Technical sounds melodic (if thats the right word) to me. So what exactly makes technical death metal not melodic death metal?

More melodic, often with typical minor 3rd harmonizations and use for technical death metal (listen to anything from Nihility) and then compare that to Children of Bodom (any album before....

Black metal is much more atmospheric and less technical than most death metal.
Black metal vocals are shrieked while death metals are growled.
Whereas death will usually be more violent and agressive.

Weird how "MTD" had as slam death.
