OK, I defaulted on a Capitol One Visa about 12 years ago. I lost a good paying job, shortly after I took another low paying job basically out of desperation, and was barely making my then car payment, rent etc. I admit I was wrong in racking up more charges...

About 2 months ago we got a letter through the post addressed to somebody who doesnt live here, my boyfriend has lived here for 13 years so I doubt they are previous tennants.
The letter was a bill from 3 mobile saying there was an outstanding balance...

I know of people who were taken to court by debt collectors and ended up getting LESS per month to have seen the debt collectors faces that day.

How can you fight Debt collectors that redate very old debts? So many many years ago when I was young, silly and poor I didn't always pay my bills. I have been trying to rebuild my credit and basically wait out super old debts over the last few years ...
