I made a deer feeder from pvc pipe, but the deer will not eat from it. I put corn on the ground and they ate it all, but will not even come to the deer feeder? What could be the reason for this? Thanks

Is it newly painted....
Is there any must.
Is it like my deer feeder? Did you place drain holes at the bottom?.
The deer did the same thing with the pipe feeder (which we had camoflaged) but absolutely loved with mine either.

I want to get a Tripod deer feeder (The electric broadcasting ones) and I've been looking at some of the Moultrie ones. What one should I get? If i should get a different brand, which one? Also, Is a metal hopper a must?

They are okay for pulling some deer in but Mature Bucks rarely come into until after dark while feeders are only good....
I used a Broadcast feeder but stopped when the baiting started though now ended I have not used on a plastic one.

I had.
I do it to get a round of pics in before the season for about 10 minutes, the feeder goes off, and it scares the crap out of the deer and he runs off.
To be easier for me to get deer started on a feeder.

My father has been feeding protein with a corn mix, in a spin cast feeder, without any issues anything you can to suport a deer herd big or small but, that is not it.

I'd like to set up my feeders in such a way that I could put feed in them without a ladder (top about 5 feet high). However, I have some giant hogs on my place and therefore I'd need a tough, steel feeder mechanism that would keep a big boar from tearing...

A problem we have had is the hogs eating the feed before the deer.
