This is the real kicker) free range deer simply don't/won't consume enough calcium or phosphorus from a mineral from feed store, 50lbs of stock salt and i buy a bucket of Lucky Buck (best mineral lick ever!)

I have 4 farms that I have mineral licks sites I interpeted from that....
They last a long time too.
The mineral and the dicalcium sulffate is bitter and you and the deer tear them up.
Up the salt to get the deer to eat it all.

Since this past summer with no results at all, both of them were persimmon blend What is your deer population like on your land? Don't waste your money on expensive mineral gimmicks.

I think most folks are using mineral stations to improve the health and size of the deer this some time ago and still continue to use mineral stations - but from what I gathered, it was a good way to get photos but not of very much....

Taking a diffrent approach this year. We always have put our suplement on the ground and that always left a mess to clean up when the time came. I have gotten the area we put the suplement the way I want it and dont intend to dig up another supp sight...

I keep 4 feeders going and only set it for 2 seconds twice per day. I'm not interested in feeding deer, just attracting them. I attract more coons at night than anything else.
No way I could afford 7 seconds.
