Summer's coming and it was triple digits in Phoenix last weekend.
Any hot weather shooters out thers with experience using cooling vests? Phase change vests, not evaporative vests.
They're not cheap ($150 - $250)
I'm looking to get testimonials and average...

CRO that if they work they would sure work better in an arid climate then in a humid one like Mississippi in the heat.
At 61 I am interested in the same thing to combat the Florida heat.

It was hot here in NJ today! I felt so uncomfortable! Then I went to put on my summer light PJ's and completely forgot about my big belly- now I need to buy summer PJ's!

I have been reading the discussions about thermostats and going without or drilling holes in them and it got me to thinking. (Yes, I know, that is dangerous) I have been running a 180 degree thermostat with the aluminum radiator...

You should be getting at hotter reading there than if you moved.
Right around the 180 degree mark and the engine seems to like the extra 10 degrees of heat.

Wanted to get opinions on lowering my thermostat to a 180 degree model to stack the odds in my favor in dealing with heat soak. The stock is ones are 192 degree.
I have heard going too low causes the engine to "gunk-up" and that the stock temperature ...

I have two heat gauges hooked up, one for intake temp and one just south of the thermostat to keep track of that heat level....

Just recently during my cam swap I threw in a 160 degree tstat. Obviously being a 2005 the OS on the HPTuners will only let you turn your fans on at 192f UNLESS you switch to a 2 bar OS which i'm NOT doing.
With that said, I went ahead and changed all...

Thui - I found it more difficult to breathe in the heat, but tried to maintain the same effort.
Even though the humidity that too.
Also, it is more heat than humidity.
That fatigue was probably not an issue.

It's all budget depending.
For me personally it will always be the beach and all the hotels along the beach are excellent and 5 star .
