Is there a significant difference between a dental plan and an insurance? If so, what are their main differences and which one is better? DDS Richmond

In other words, the insurance companies assumes a certain risk -- that risk being the amount of dental assistance that you will need....
When it comes to dental insurance versus dental plan, dental insurance is actual insurance.
I have read some other discussions and it seems like many dental assistants hate their jobs. I am considering becoming a dental assistant and would like to know more about it. Do you get benefits? Is the pay decent? (134) / No (14)

Every Dental office is different and work environment....
You get paid half as much with the doctor....you WILL work with and at first ONLY for the DA's.

No need to take hygiene courses right now.
Of dental school, after that, you can always take the hygiene exam and work as a hygienist anyways.

As to the dental schools, I have heard that the ones locally do good work and have a sliding scale for fees, so insurance....

I was often 10-20% on each test in dental school.
If you didn't do well in undergrad you can still do well in dental school.
Dental schools have 4 years.
That said, even doing "the minimum" requires a lot of work.
A year.
Now that I've been accepted to Dental School, I have a few months before the Summer/Fall terms begin. With gross anatomy coming up first, what is the most important thing I should be focusing/studying in preparation for classes?

It is not just for dental school; but, I think it will have some benefit.
I'm free I'm free No more dentist. I'm finished with the months of dental work. Multiple fillings, 4 crowns, 1 root canal, 9 root removals and 2 partials. Take care of your teeth or you'll end up like me or worse.

No u shouldn't don't....
Dental school is a lot of work and you will be better the time to work while in dental school & I do believe that it affects your financial aid.
To the OP, I would highly recommend not working.
