So I am re-feeding a detached garage with new wire and the said garage is only like 2 feet from the house; I was thinking on making the jump with sealtite..any other suggestions?

Out of city limits. It is 6 feet from your neighbor's property line and 10ft from your house? The 10ft from your house seems a little odd. Anyone have any experience in building a detached garage. I'd leave the 6ft from the neighbors property alone. But...

Make sure you have good insulated overhead garage....
Edit - at 20x27 you don't need a full home furnace .
Works great.
Scott give You will love it though, my garage is 50' away and I use my old home furnace.

As I accumulate more stuff in my newly finished detached garage I get more paranoid about it sitting out there relatively unprotected. It's a pole barn so it's a little bit harder to break into than a teepee. It's located about 100 feet from the house...

I have a boiler in a detached shed and heat my house and shop.
How about a electric heater with a tstat Ya you can heat the garage with the house boiler as long as the boiler has enough btus.
