They had not cancelled my membership when I requested you delete them your bank is likely to inform the payees that their direct debit has been removed, it was the responsibility....

Did your Barclaycard statement advise that the payment would be taken by Direct Debit? If not you it has shown my direct debit details since March, so wrongly or rightly I assumed it was set up for the direct debit....

I made a one off payment for something but another 'installment' has been taken from my account a month later.
Bank says I cannot stop the direct debit until the people taking the money have said yes also. So that means the money will continue to be taken...

If the payment was done through your debit....
Its not a direct debit or they would be able to stop it.
When you made keep taking the money.
It sounds like its not a direct debit but just regular debit card transactions.
