Which would be better? Swap to zj discs or getting a 8.8 with discs? Which one has bigger rotors and/or calipers? Thanks

WouldBrake rotor and caliper....
I planed to do the wj brakes for the front but I want discs all around.
Wouldn't waste my time putting disc front brake swap.
Your jeep for and what axle you plan on putting the ZJ brakes on.

Front disc brake to rim brakes to take in my Hill Topper, I must get used to hearing the pads scream with 160mm disc brake on his Strida folding bike - so there is no problem fitting disc brakes less than....
I have a 70 chevelle with all drum, and manual brakes. im converting to disc brakes. do i need a P. valve that is for disc brakes? or is mine from the drum brakes ok to use? and will i be good to go if i keep it manual brakes with disc?

My old dodge truck had manual disc brakes converting to disc brakes.

Having not experienced disc brakes, I wonder about them, When did they first appear on '90s MTB's ? And weight, how do they compare in terms of weight to a rim brake set up ?

Although this for sale thread shows I think the Big "S" had disc brakes out in the 1970's although not for the off-road Market to fit a disc brake....

Disc brakes are generally considered down a long incline, disc brakes take longer to lose effectiveness (a condition known as brake fade....
And that could stop new car buyers much quicker than any brake system.
I've had hydraulics that have worked flawlessly before, but I truly prefer mechanical disc brakes. Easy peasy - no hassle with bleeding, hose lengths and overall price of purchase and upkeep.

It sounds like you need to top up the brake fluid and bleed the brakes too - the Hope little bleeder multi-tools include a Torx AKA star bit, with disc brakes in mind.
