Hi, Im new here and new to the satellite world We bought 2 Dish Network satellites and the Dish Network Echostar DP301 box. We get 110 West and 65.1(or somethin) channels. I want to reprogram the card so I can get channels that are blocked to work again...

Well the Dish TV channels on 110W appear to be moving over to the secure Nagravision 2 the 110W and 65.1(or w/e) channels anymore!?!? 65.1 which is like middle east kinda thing is already channels are Nagra 2 only, so this is obviously....

You are using a SW21 switch for sure ? If you are, you may have a bad one.

Preset skew and elevation then aim for 119 is for true fta birds..not dish/bev....
Sounds like your dish is not aimed correctly.
You just want to do a normal scan.
Do not blind scan !!! Blind is for true fta birds..not dish/bev birds.

I've always had an antenna as a backup dish rarely goes out during rains.
If the dish is truly aligned properly you should see very little disruption during thunderstorms of the afternoon, it doesn't matter how big your dish is.
