I recently installed Vista from scratch. I have three drives in my rig. Two of them were empty at the time of install. The other had all of my junk on it.

Try connecting it to another computer that only has a C: and D: drive .
I think i have seen this behaviour when the drive has an assigned drive letter that is already in use as a network drive .

Hi experts,
I run windows failover cluster and sometimes I found one node: dl980-1 can't find the SAN disk. I make sure my configurations are the same on both nodes and sometimes it is ok before rebooting.
check it out: normal in dl980-2
no Z: drive...

Back in the day, floppy disks were a: and if you were lucky b:, then when permanent storage came along c: was the default for hard disks (as I remember it)

I am trying to partition my new 750GB drive using DM. But is says the max I can shrink the drive ( which has only about 20GB on ) is by 80GB. Is this because the drive is too big for it to understand, or am I doing summat wrong?
