Can I use ditto on OS X to sync two folders on the same machine? Is it possible to use the command line utility ditto to keep two folders in sync on a single OS X machine? In other words, does ditto copy only changed files from the source, and delete removed files from the target? I don't think ditto does what you believe it does.

How to use ditto on OS X to work like cp -a on Linux I'm a Linux guy and I'm used to copying directory trees with cp -a . OS X doesn't have -a option on cp ... but it does have the ditto command.
