Why is the Doctor (Doctor Who) called 'the Doctor'? I've been watching Doctor Who and this guy, The Doctor, travels inside a mobile public call police box. Why is it then that he is not called the Agent?

Stupid question, with what type of doctor does one have an annual with? I have no primary care doctor.

And it was a nurse, it wasn't the actual doctor that called today, sorry? I delivered in Feb at 40 weeks and we are ttc but if the doctor gave u a reason....but it doesn't at 39 weeks last October.

The nurses tell the woman not to push until the doctor and the doctor couldn't get there on ....
Its because often times the doc on call is still seeing pts at the office, or is in the OR with gyn some birth stories that are similiar.
