Why do so many people have dogs, yet can't provide a good enough life for their children? So many people have a dog (or multiple dogs!!) and they just can't afford it. I mean, they can afford it in the usual sense, but at the expense of their children...

People should be means tested before they are allowed to own a dog.
That dogs and small children don't go together,it isn't healthy for a child who crawls aroundI quite agree.

How are we dealing with the new family structure? Lots of people in second relationships which brings a whole new family.
Adult children and their partners and their family.They may break up and then you've another family to deal with if they meet someone...

If you were very close to children in a previous relationship of one of your children, then continue with it, not taking sides, just being there for them if they want it.

Obviously from Christmas. I like how Charlie (the black lab) is trying to lean out of the picture. Charlie has dark brown eyes and Sugar has golden eyes. And somehow they both ended up glowing in the picture.

To be honest, my dogs listen much better than my children did general intelligence and social skills than any dog I have had.

My family (2 young children) is looking at buying a puppy. HOWEVER, it seems that all of the dogs that are good with kids are big dogs. I DO NOT WANT a big dog!
