How much study time does Further Maths take up compared with other subjects at both AS and A2 level?

Most universities ask for further maths as well as maths, which I'll be doing...

Maths or maths and statistics
It is better to study maths on its own for a uni course or study a combined subject, such as maths and statistics? (I personally like both courses)

In my school, when you pick Maths it's compulsory to do another module, Statistics or Mechanics.

Which A level should i drop if i want to do maths?
atm i do maths, further maths, physics, history and politics...i was going to drop politics, however, just came out of my AS physics, and know i will have done terribly :( would it be better to apply...

What is the MAIN difference between add maths and AS maths?
Yea, like what is the difference because each syllabus is similar to the other. Well for Cambridge that is.

I am using 3D maths in my application extensively. How much speed-up can I achieve by converting my vector/matrix library to SSE, AltiVec or a similar SIMD code?

These days all the good compilers for x86 generate....
The answer highly depends on what the library is doing and how it is used simulations, as well general 3D maths operation on meshes (rather than isolated vectors).
