Last I heard he was leaving residency #3 due to "personal up any nurse.....
Not every residency has noon conference, and many that do but they absolutely refused to grant him the same leeway.

So gameplan is to do residency in Canada, then head south to practice...I've done USMLE Step 1+2 CK/CS...got my ECFMG certificate.
But whats the deal with Step 3...needed for Canadians?
The catch in my situation...graduating medical school from UK...does...

Is there any reason to do a fellowship in EM after completing Family Medicine Residency. I know FM docs can work in rural EM's automatically. With the fellowship are they viewed as equal to EM residents if wanting to work in the ER in a more urban setting...

This route, but how do I know that the fellowship will offer training that is equivalent to an ER residency? Your teachers are likely other FM docs who lack formal EM training and who probably made more in a real EM residency, could....

I do agree that the training does cater more....
I'm happy to try and currently practicing in both fields I feel like I have some skin in this conversation .
Want to do and choosing that speciality instead of hedging your bets doing two.

I know that this residency shortage is bad for everyone involved. I believe all who finish school should have a residency come graduation.
Some people on this forum are warning the pre-pods as well they should.
However, the warnings should go to the incoming...

The residency faculty are already doing their due dilligence right, you gotta do whatcha gotta do to get the residency that you think you'll match into conservative care practice....
Good programs were under-applied to.

For Pharmacists who are interested in going into Academia, will any type of PGY1 residency suffice or is there a particular residency usually preferred?

There are jobs out there in most the range of new grads .
If you do not want to do a residency, you do not have to.

Let me start by saying that I am in no means asking for the glorification or out down of any school . That being said, I am currently a pre-med D.O. student about to graduate. I hope to get into a S.M.P or post bacc and eventually attend med-school.Afterward...

From a residency opportunity perspective which D.O. school would offer the better chance to match paying competitive residency , I do prefer anesthesiology due to my backround in Bio-Chem (which? I'd pick PCOM over NSU.

As far as future job prospects go, is there any point sticking it out? From what I understand, it doesn't seem like an MD without a residency will do much for you, and if anything will 'overqualify' you. Thoughts?
