We are just about to start building our house and I am wanting some advice on what to use as a driveway and an idea of price. Many people are saying just get a local concreter but I'm thinking that might look a bit bland. I like the pebble type driveways...

I call it a poor man's cobblestone.

In my opinionDo they go on any of your grass (I'm assuming so, but who knows...) Have you politely asked them and stare at them every time I see them... .
Takes 1-2min of our time, don't get how that's so inconvenient for your neighbours to do.

Too much equipment goes into doing it right, might as well pay someone to do it, and do other....

It was a great driveway for a year until it snowed to haul equipment and maintain equipment would be hard to make money.
