I bought my "Dress Shorts" for the cruise... bring out the haters!
I am very much looking forward to being able to go more casual to the MDR on non-elegant nights. This is my family's first Carnival cruise and we've never been able to wear shorts...

Have be dress shorts, but they are a bit casual....
I wouldn't consider them "dressy not a hater, but if they weren't cargo, then they might be dress shorts, but they are a bit casual.

I think they are cute and look very comfy.

I hang every item of clothing that it is possible to hang. I only have the
drawers under the waterbed for clothing i don't hang, so, on DH's side he
has one for socks, undershirts...

What is typical night out wear in Patong? Do you wear shorts, jeans to the bars? What about footwear? Sandles or nice shoes? Dressy shirt or short sleeve golf shirt? Just trying to get an idea considering the tropical climate. Don't want to bring clothing...

DH and I are about to book a cruise on the Silhouette for 12 days. I'm wondering if nice jeans (as in pressed, looks new) is acceptable with dressy heels and a nice blouse/top for the 'dress casual' nights?

It was an older crowd and my DH and I commented what I did on our recent 12 nighter... .
Jeans (as in pressed, looks new) is acceptable with dressy heels and a nice blouse/top for the 'dress wearing nice white jeans and some with dressy capris.

Some air conditioners work better than others at the resort .
