Just wondering how much of a difference height makes and what the ideal height for a driving animal is. I would assume that a mini is too little for most recreational driving but a 14.2 horse is too much power? What would be the main driving difference...

We also plan on having a good time.
You can come with a horse or without and learn either way.

When you're driving on the freeway and you see a horse...? ...is your first instinct to slam on the brakes, run over and hug it for a couple hours?
That's my first instinct, I'm hoping if enough people feel the same way I can use it in a legal case where...

Can you free lunge? Work....
That is frustrating because we have to start all over as well as boring .

So I'm looking at a nice older mare. She turns 18 next month.
My first horse was older and had health issues I had not been told about.
Horse is sound. No known health issues.

It didn't bother our Western Pleasure horse...he seemed to understand driving a bit better than riding! Yes, you can teach an older horse new tricks! As long as you keep a contact on the driving in a different way.

How far would you drive (or fly?) to buy a horse? Most of the horses I've been interested in are 3+ hours away, which isn't much considering some people drive cross-country to buy horses.
How far have you gone to look at/pick up a horse? If you haven'...
