How can we listen to those samples? There's links that say "click HERE" to listen, and the unprocessed samples say "close mic" "room" or "close+room" and it will take you to a Dropbox link.

There are lots of free drum samples spread over the net, but some sites are better then others.
Goldbaby's Free Stuff
Goldbaby is responsible for the Tape808 and Tape909 sample packs. On the free page are a collection of samples from some drum machines...

Seth Munson is on top of making though! TCI's would make me... .
To these samples right out of the gate when starting a mix to get a SOLID drum sound down to work files for you in exchange for free samples?
Edit: I can do Kontakt also.

I've just spent nearly an entire day searching through drum samples for a jingle.
All my samples are getting very old - I was looking for very broad sounding drums, with a bit of 'room sound' - nothing too tight sounding.
I was about to throw in the towel...

Here is what I do to mix drums without replacing:
Group all drum tracks to a buss.
Too few of us are learning on the toms...
drums "straight up" without samples:
Drum replacement has made us lazy.
