The solenoid engages only when I'm on Summit Racing, or JC Whitney .
I have a dual set up on my 88 with an isolator, and a solenoid.

Mine has a factory 90 amp output alternator so i got the 95 amp isolator.
What would be a good isolator to get yeah no problem i'm installing my 2nd battery right now too to your alternator.

I'm in the process of fitting a dual battery system to the GQ with a redarc SBI12 isolator with the manaul overide switch fitted what size cable did u use it states to use 4B&S cable but ive already got 6B&S cable has anybody else used the smaller cable...

I've also come to the conclusion that am isolator is NOT what I'd want if anythingI don't see why it wouldn....

Run the "isolator/joiner" between the positive battery terminals.
Of installing a battery isolator, you probably want to install a battery "joiner." Same part, different name/different purpose.
I bought a battery isolator and wire/connectors from the auto parts shop for my 2011 Ranger Crew 800. I have installed dual battery set-ups on just about every vehicle I own. The problem I have is I can't tell which wire brings the power back to the battery...

Was it an isolator or a separator? Most of us use either the Polaris Dual Battery Kit or the Sure Power cables and possibly (?) an additional battery box and mounting hardware.

That said, there's nothing wrong from the battery....
The tail gate guys are referring to is using a deep cycle battery as an aux connected with an isolator, you don't need a deep cycle battery and you don't need an isolator.

Make sure you put fuses or circuit breakers....
Doug Just had mine wired up for dual battery and 2 x 12 v outletsDepends a bit on what you are going to run from the second battery, but the heavier, the better.
Time soon that will not agree.
