I have a redarc isolator on the hilux, doing some tests yesterday i was getting 13.8v at my starting battery, 13.8v at the isolator but only 12.5v at my aux battery, does it have to get lower than that to charge the aux battery, or is there a problem?...

I would go with a bad earth lead from either the 2nd battery or the isolator from the battery front right corner of engine bay, to the isolator rear left of the engine bay, then to the aux....
Voltage at both batteries.

Just got back from a weekend trip to newnes, my front battery is charging at 13.8/9, as before, but now there only seems to be 10.9 going through the redarc to the second battery, it seems to be getting worse!

Across the isolator the aux battery is brand new, and on external chage now, its up to 12volts as we been running dual battery banks for years with out all of this fancy electronic stuff and had no problems they just been ....

I have been looking at the installation of a Redarc Isolator, re charging the van battery from the tug and from my reading of its function, it does what it says which is to isolate the starter battery from the auxilary battery to prevent accidently discharging...

The DBE 180S doesn't cut out sas
from what i have found the piranah is a battery management system and have solar panel inputs BUT i think they are very expensive....
Rather than an aux battery isolator like most people are used too.
