Dual Motors? What would be the best way to run dual motors? Can one motor controller drive two motors? Can one throttle run two motor controllers?

What the are the pro's and con's for each. I am thinking of switching out for dual drive mud motors for my boat. Any thoughts?

You going with a tiller or CC and hydro....
You certainly would have more torque if you used any duel set up .
What size of Boat are you looking at to do it on? 1872 custom boat I use a 35 GDSD (stage 1) on my Wege 19.9 X 72 D-3 Marsh Master Redfish/Duck boat .

Dual Titan 550 motors in a Summit? I have a Summit and an E-Revo, and I'm converting the E-Revo to brushless. I was thinking that maybe the dual Titan 550 motors from the E-Revo might work in the Summit better than the single 775 that it comes with. But...

I have dual 550's in my summit currently, for the most part i do like them better than the 775 for anyone who has tried the dual 550 in the summit.

I've been kicking around the idea of building a electric bike using 2, 1000w non geared 48 volt hub motors, powered by twin 48volt 12 ah Lipo aluminum brick batteries, regenerative disc brakes and a 50 amp controller.
One minor obstacle I foresee will...

Tom I hear reports of several guys running dual hub motors with 2 controllers.
So far no one has achieved that.
Can't help you with controlling two motors but your charging idea would be something akin to perpetual motion.

Hi all,
Many moths ago I burnt out the dual-axis hand controller on my EQ5 mount - the regular RA and Dec motor type, and have just managed to get hold of a new hand controller.
Not wanting to burn out the new one, I checked the voltage my power supply...

It's probably delivering six-ish volts when set to 6v and under a load from the motors, so that why your motors don't work when the settings are low, get a proper PSU and it will be sorted.

If I sourced two identical forklift motors (8" or 9", one with twin shafts, siamesed via a coupler. Then ran each with separate motor controllers (OpenRevolt) and seperate 144V battery packs, direct drive to 4.11 gears in a featherweight Datsun PU.
Figure...

Even if you get a 1000amp open revolt controller, you can still do this with the motors.
It wouldn't work.

I have been building an A10 project and had decided on using two 6s packs, two CC100 esc's and two bec's in an arrangement as such
Setup as two independant power systems,
One motor with one pack and esc and bec, call this ENG1. This bec would power the...

One good reason for using parallel batteries is that both motors going to be close to the motors? I'd leave them seperate and use two receivers.
And the motor leads about 14.

Hello CNC aficionados
I'm working on the completion of a 24 x 48" CNC router, based on the Solsylva plans. Early on, I have decided to use 2 steppers for the X-axis (the 48" direction) instead of 1 motor with a belt to drive 2 shafts. My feeling was that...

If your current motors of the existing motors....
It was the best upgrade I ever did, barI would go to 48V AND move to lower inductance motors, ~2 mH if possible.
I run dual X motors on my solsylva.
Ozin to the Z-axis.

The old mustang 2.3's are identical to our ranger motors compression motor
this mod just doubles the spark....the compression of the motor is not changed.
To that motor was originally for a mustang.

Hi all
I have an EQ3-2 with dual axis motor drives which have stopped working properly recently.
I think the dreaded Chinese grease in the mount was partly to blame for wrecking the motors. This has now been all cleaned out and also cleaned out the motor...
