Should I buy 2 Standard dumbbell handles or 2 Olympics Handles?
I don't have the money to spend on dumbbells that go from a set weight on up like a typical gym has. Instead I would like to adjust my dumbbells as I need to. Plus I plan I using all Olympic...

Due to the cost of the olympic bars and plates, its not finanically feasable to get that type of set up If you're planning on using an olympic barbell weights are the most important for dumbbells....
If your short on cash get a standard set.

How do you guys set these up when using heavy dumbbells? Right now I just use my thigh to lift one at a time, but that feels dangerous and my starting position ends up being the dumbbells by my chest and not at the top of the ROM. It feels dangerous doing...

Try practicing with lighter dbs for returning to the starting position... .
Roll back onto the bench and use the momentum to carry each dumbbell into full lockout, simultaneously.
Is to sit with a dumbbell on each thigh, close to the kneecap.

I have a lot of standard cast iron plates, and I am thinking about purchasing the SDH's and turning them into a fixed pro-style set, and using plate mates to fill in the increments in between. However, my concern is with the safety of plate loaded dumbbells...

You got a heck of a deal.
Ivanko has some clearance dumbbell handles I should have enough to put together a set ranging from about 25-100lbs.
The bolt is screwed, or between each plate? On the bolt .
Of the dumbbell set.

I can do 90's but I'm helped my regular barbell bench... .
I do 85's 3 x 12 reps with a drop set of 70 and 60 3 x 12.
At ~170 I could do 100s for a set of six, now at ~1546 feet at 188.
To dumbbell flatbenching, much better at incline.
