Tweet Don't buy Duralast rotors. Ever. Couple of weeks ago I went into Autozone and let a sales guy talk me into buying their Duralast Gold brand of rotors. "They're great rotors" he says.
Get them home, put them on the ol' Benz and right away I can tell...

Its getting harder and harder to find quality.
Duralast equals Mexican junk.
Won't be back.
No more duralast anything for me.
I got about 3 months out of them.

As far as the lifetime warranty, that is just through Autozone so just ... .
Like others have mentioned it is probably the install (not having anti-squeal in the right places) rather than the pads themselves .
I have those pads and have never heard a noise .

My 12 year old duralast gold battery is getting weak and leaking acid. I'm thinking about replacing it with a optima red top. What are you guys running for a battery in your trucks? Any input is appreciated

Myself ....
I run Deka/East Penn batteries in my daily drivers.
I never had much luck with the red tops.
I got really lucky with my last set of Optima yellow tops in my Super Gas car...they lasted 8+ years, but I was very vigilant about keep them charged .

Walmart's battery has a 2 year free replacement. No prorations. It is $50.
Everywhere else seems to have a 2 year free replacement and 5 year prorated warrenty. The batteries also cost around $100.
I'm leaning toward a DieHard. The Duralast seams to have...

However....
The only battery brands I can think of are Duralast, SuperStart with the AA silver and gold lines.
That's what I've always heard.
I had good luck with the DieHard Silver but the Gold.
If you buy a Walmart battery...get the Maxx.
