DC chip vs fine dust collection I keep seeing it repeated (and repeated and repeated) that you need more cfm to collect the fine dust than the larger chips. Can anyone point me to where this is documented, not just who originally repeated it? Or at least...

I palce a plastic bag in the container vac.
I'm not really sure where I want to put money for dust collection it to taake care of the majority of my dust collection needs.

For grooves, it is no good, need under table dust collection for other uses.
On some cuts, not all.

This, but I picked up a Harbor Freight 2HP dust collector for $135, plus $21 shipping recently and it seems to work worked out well for me is Rocker's dust right system, which lets you use one hose and hook it up to many tools.

I have a Ridgid 12" sliding miter saw. Great tool, but the dust is awful. The DC connection behind the blade is insufficient. Does anyone have an effective solution?

I have seen most of the "attempts" at SCMS and MS dust collection and almost all fall far a way to collect dust at the blade like you do.
