Should states limit EMT and Paramedic course entry?
Pretty much, anyone willing to pay can get into EMT B and Paramedic school. (obviously the school, states etc want the money). But this just FLOODS the job market and makes...

I graduated with a BS in 2005 and in 2007 decided to do EMS and have been a paramedic for over 3 years and an EMT for a year and a half before that... It made me realize how much I enjoy medicine. I was premed before drastically changing major to business...

Hello. I recently moved to Nashville, TN from California. I have a NREMT for EMT-B. I would like to work in EMS/FIRE out here. Do I have to advance to EMT-IV to do so?

EMT experience or currently working as an EMT will give you points in the University's Paramedic you.

Medic school is much harder and much more time-consuming than EMT courses.
Stony Brook has a well-respected paramedic program.
To treat that will get you much further, and save your pt .

Can an RN challenge the paramedic exam? I am talking in the state of California. How about any other state? Currently NREMT-B and 3rd Semester RN [One to go]. Long term goal? Possibly PA, unless something really pushes my desires and pursue med school...

Ohio does permit an RN who is an EMT-B to take and in California nursing school might be "better" or more extensive then Paramedic school, there are plenty will cover....
Not challenge the paramedic exam (Ohio uses National Registry).
