Can horses eat apples? I always thought they could but i just read that they are toxic! I always feed my horse apples and my dogs but why are they toxic?

Right now so they have to move to get more, but he seems to eat tons, and he normally flips buckets clean so it takes forever but they eat their grain fast..

Most of ours will also eat tomatoes when I'm a little overwhelmed with them, as well miniatures LOVES banana's.....
