I've seen many posters in the meat threads say they eat fish but no other meat. What is the difference? A fish is still an animal why is it ok to eat one animal but not another? I think this is very hypocritical. I understand the choice to not eat meat...

Fresh, sustainably caught fish is not nasty.
And fish is far healthier, so people who choose not to eat meat for health as opposed to ethical reasons can eat fish.

But the Luxembourgeois eat even more. We are talking about 300 pounds per capita per year, plus or minus.
That is nearly a POUND OF MEAT PER DAY, and that average includes babies, vegetarians, Hindus, and people like me.

Just curious how often your kid is eating meat or fish. My 13 month old loves boiled chicken and would eat it every day but pedi said give it to her a few times per week. She gets protein from hummus and cheese and veggies but I was just wondering how...

I try for twice a day (2 meats or meat kid friendly....
N eats or turkey (I don't eat red meat) 4 or 5 times a week.
My 3 year old eats meat about 4-5 times/week.
He's VERY picky.
To eat much of anything.

Keep the deli meat in your household, you won't grab the deli meat to eat ;) We eat a lot of chicken breast, locally sourced beef, and Canadian bacon from Costco.
