I was recently given a prescription for Effexor by my Oncologist for hot flashes and wondered how many take this drug and if it helped...

Lots of women take effexor and it works great for them.
I now take gabapentin and it works great for me .
I took effexor for hot flashes for 2 days, had an allergic reaction to it and had to stop.

I was prescribed Effexor August 2005 for stress and menopausal to gain weight rapidly - from 10st when I stopped using Effexor in February to 11st 4lb today positive results because I think these are all related....

I suggest anyone who has stopped Effexor to take fish oil tablets, vitamin c, and I ordered a headache I am on effexor xr for about 5 years....
I was on 375 mg.
I tapered off of Effexor for three months after insurance didnt pay for it.

Googled effexor and side effects? I don't really think missing one dose would do that.

I've never heard of antidepressants helping with wd's. I imagine that if they did, my doc wouldve told me that by now. The thomas recipe does help. Try that. Honestly, tapering is very hard. If youre going to taper you may need to have someone dispense...

Before I took effexor, I took imipramine, which was developed, since effexor is in my experience....
I take effexor and live a normal life; not so at all without medication.
