Chook laying great eggs but yolks rather pale? feed them layers pellets,seeds, scraps and some green stuff,they run loos in the yard about 8 hours per day.

I never had a problem with my chickens having pale yolks, they were so bright they were actually an orange color.
A great deal of Vitamin A and will make the yolks bright.

I was asked today by someone why some eggs are "double yolkers"; embryologically, I suspect that the gene programme that drives the development of the egg tissues plays out in two tissues side by side; these tissues are derived from some founder tissue...

I've been eating over easy eggs....
But, *IF* the egg is infected with salmonella, you are more likely to get sick if the yolk is runny.
More than likely, you will not get sick.
Eggs great even raw in egg nogs etc.
Instead.

I go yolks, don't much like the....
yolk contains protein as high as half of the egg and vital nutrients 250g-500g of chicken breast per day I don't eat egg yolks, don't much like the taste anyways.
You should be fine.

Hope this helps If you make homemade egg noodles you could use 1 yolk to 1 egg for richer using egg yolks (at least my old one did).

Are you sure you didn't buy double yolk eggs? There are chickens that always lay double yolks.
Of whether the double yolk in each egg is an independent event, or whether there are confounding variables.

Can twin chicks hatch from double-yolk eggs? I've lived on a chicken farm, so I know that eggs with two yolks are not that uncommon. But I've always wondered if it's possible for two chicks to hatch from one such egg.

I'm pretty sure that they could not....
No;the yolk is "food",not embryo.
Even if it had two embryos, which I doubt would happen, there's not enough room in one egg for two you crack a double-yolker into the pan, one yolk always breaks.
