I'm just wondering if there is such a thing really! The other half really wants to do a land holiday to Egypt and I'm just not keen at all so thought I'd have a look to see if any cruises include it in their itinerary.

Is Celebrity still going to the ports in Egypt?
When will they decide if it is too dangerous or unstable there?

They canceled the Egypt call on Celebrity calling on Egypt....
In Fall of 2011 I was scheduled to sail on Silhouette to Egypt (overnight in Alexandria).
And they cancelled Egypt at 6pm Friday when we were suppose to arrive 7am Sunday.

Have to Book Two Cruises - Why?
Anyone work this one out? Phoned Thomsons/Cruise D to ask if it was possible to have the last week's cruise of the season and the repo added together to make a back-to-back thus giving 18 days. Seemed logical to me but...

Even although I did not take the flight to Egypt 11 days previously because I had joined the ship in Egypt 7 days before that.

I really didn't want to go! taking my 90 year old mother to Egypt! hated the thought of being 'stuck' on a ship but what an experience it turned into! Everyone on board was just so friendly (are 'cruisers' just the most interesting and friendly people...

We are heading of to Egypt in late February for a cruise along the Nile and on Lake Nasser. Has anyone had any recent experience cruising in Egypt?

My wife and there have been no actual cruises so far, I think the first cruise is departing within the next few be helpful.
