It is possible to buy surgical tubing loops. If it is, where can we buy them. If not, could you recommend ways to make strong loops from the tubing we already have?
Thanks!

Duplicate tubing or elastic or springs; it did turn up a few references to tubing, but all of them were pneumatic no references....
Unroll the surgical tubing onto the pneumatic tube.
On the pneumatic tubing (half of it).

I have seen many arguements over dom vs. hrew vs pipe for rollbar/cage material. What are the pros and cons of using stainless tubing? I have a relative who owns a weld shop and would like to build a rollbar/cage out of stainless for me, but if it is ...

Ash is also good.
What size tube are you building? Maple is a good choice, hard but not brittle.
The only trouble I had it to do over would have used 1/4" .
I did a 12 sided tube for a 10' reflector following Chuck's instructions.

0.065 wall mild steel tubing 8.5" long and 2.25" diameter. If the tube was welded on one end to a plate, how much force can the tube take before bending if a force was placed on the other end perpendicular to the length?
Thanks engineers!

Also, the geometry of that tube (beam as the stress is below the proportional limit?
I agree....
The problem is that the standard equations for elastic beam" --- and those are rather tedious, to say the least.

Bought my Syma s033g a week ago and did some mods already.
First installed a switch to turn the lights on/off.
Used a piece of silicone tubing to guide the antenna wire (tested a longer antenna to but the range did not extend, it got shorter in stead)...

I would suspect that what you are seeing when
the tube is lifted is purely elastic deformation...@hotmail.com
Thanks, Rod....
Only the ends of the tube are likely to avoid.
