What is 'Playing Electric Guitar' ? Electric guitar started off as just amplified acoustic guitar. When / where did it become an instrument / musical style in its own right?
We say we play electric guitar not AN electric guitar.

No don`t use....electric guitar neck can`t with stand the pressure of acoustic guitar string since it is heavier than electric guitar string but if its E string (lower) then u can use but it will sound bad.
