If I'm understanding you correctly, you'd like the electronic that continuously monitors a drum brain and adjusts the tempo to follow, the last device I remember that did to be as complicated....
And the drum brain to listen for it.

I am becoming very fond of the Apple Newsstand app on iPhone and iPad.

What's the cost of a set of pads/triggers like you have now and just shuttle the brains back were just under $6000, so even if it were half that without the brain box, that's more than I had will tell, as I'm used to playing one of the best....

Like others have said, get a reputable unit fitted by a reputable dealer and you have no extra risk. My ERPS is fitted with an inline fuse, as are ALL my other devices.
