Need some experienced guidance please... my 8 1/2 month old was just diagnosed with a dairy allergy from a blood test after having a severe skin reaction to pineapple chobani yogurt. She ate only about 1/2 a teaspoon of it and has had chobani before but...

I was told to eliminate it which I did but seems odd that she had no signs tests showed dairy allergy at 5 and half months but I had never seen a reaction and was eating.
dairy while nursing too.
I'm thinking about cutting out dairy from my diet to see if my overall health and energy will improve and maybe as a side bonus, I will lose some weight. I don't have the $$ right now to replace everything in my kitchen with non-dairy items and it seems...

Personally I GAINED weight when I went....
I would just not worry about the 'processed on the same equipment as dairy poducts '.
But that doesn't mean I would eat something that has dairy as an ingredient if you are not doing dairy.
So I officially can't eat dairy. Kae's doctor thinks that it is what is causing Kae's gas. So anyone have yummy recipes?? I don't know how I will live without cheese :(

My son is allergic to milk and I've been dairyYou may not have to go completely dairy free - I just make a point to not eat it, but I still put some cheese on tacos and stuff.
Issues? I wouldn't eliminate unless you know for sure.

My suggestion would be to eliminate things....
I chose to use the 'moderation' method! Haa! For me! My boys are fully gluten free, only have raw or fermented dairy and we TRY to limit sugar.
Not eliminate these item completely, however.

Avocados are probably my favourite source (that would meet the above requirements - they appear to be low in sugar) .
Can't say for sure that it'd work for you.
I found that when I increased my fats, my cravings for sweets and chips went away .

If you eliminate milk now, you won't.
I have never been a fan of changing multiple things at once .
