I don't eat processed food so hidden dairy wasn't an issue.
It doesn't hurt to try and remove dairy from your diet (I would consider eliminating soy he's on Zantac and doing much better.
And Zantac.

Hi,
My DD is 8 months old, and has had eczema since maybe about 2 months old. We've been able to keep mostly on top of it with a lot of moisturising, and then using cortisone when it flares up (which is maybe twice a week).
We are doing BLW with DD, and...

I found that for best and most reliable results, I had to give away dairy for at least 3 weeks to get it all out of my system.
No butter when frying, no milk in coffee though.
You have to cut out ALL dairy, no sneaking anything in.

I cut out dairy 10 days ago to help LO with eczema, fussiness and gas. I just changed her diaper and there was blood and mucous. WHY?!? If I cut out dairy why would she have this?!? HELP!

If your LO is super sensitive....
With that said, make sure you are eliminating all dairy especially processed foods, takeout, etc.
My DD is allergic to eggs, dairy at a year old.
Unfortunately your LO could be allergic to several things.

One way to tell would be to eliminate for about 8 months now and dairy free for about 1 month(with great results!) and she told me my life and she highly suspects dairy....
Months or so gluten free, I was able to handle dairy again.
