I've searched and wandered how important the hardboard with the holes and insulation above engine is and what alternatives there is. I have the insulation but the hardboard is trash not enough to pattern if there is another option. Thanks

Of coarse that won't work in an engine compartment, But the same a few hours today ....
I removed ours when I painted the engine compartment and haven't replaced it yet on the wall, or the professional foam.
Anything in there.
