Has anyone tried prints side by side from the Epson R1800 vs the R3880 with the same Epson Paper, such as Ultra Premium Glossy or Ultra Premium Luster? If so, does the R3880 have more vivid colors? Or a larger Color space?

That being said previous Epson printers until the 3880 is print coming out to dark.
The R1800 is a Dye based ink system and the 3880 is a pigment based ink system.

get good color.
Anyone using color management...

Below is the chart from Epson's R800 (likely the same as the
R1800) service manual.
There are several

I just upgraded from an Epson R1800 to a 3880. I print from Qimage with the driver set to let the printer manage the color. I have the 3880 driver set for Automatic and EPSON Standard (sRGB). I am printing in color with the Photo Black ink on both Exhibtion...

I have my monitors calibrated and have qimage set to utilize the epson premium luster ICC profile not seeing the "warm colors" though.
I would down load the proper paper/printer profile from epson, they are quite accurate, and let.

Now I'm somewhat familiar with profiles:
- on Epson paper, I choose the paper the factory profiles and installed them....
The R1800 and R1900 both use "Ultrachrome Gloss" inks, which have more to use gloss at all.
Alters the surface shine.

Could this be the reason that the Epson with magenta tint problem is evident with the Epson 4900 Profiles as well? It all depends on the profiling.
To be a problem on the R180, also profiled with the Color Munki .

Question from amateur, not pro!
I have just upgraded from my (dead!) R1800 to an R3000. The R1800 had a Gloss Optimiser ink that coated over everything, including blown-out highlights, to give an even sheen. The R3000 doesn't have this, and blown-out ...

You are not answering it.
It has a Epson $200 rebate and is a really question.
Have you given the Epson R3000 a look, it might be the one that may fit your needs? The largest photo you can print out besides roll paper is 13" x 19" .
