I would like to allow the user to enter any equation, like the following, into a text box:
x = x / 2 * 0.07914 x = x^2 / 5
And have that equation applied to telemetry data that is coming from a device connected via a serial port. The incoming data points...

We do that at my work to allow is that the user entering the equation could enter just about anything which could be a security issue.
Into a text box, then compile that code and run it from within your app.

Is there a way to make very long equation multiline so it doesn't stretch the table very long?

You can break the equation with the split environment:
\begin{equation} \begin{split} x &= a + b \\ \quad + c + d \\ &= x \cdot y \cdot z \end{split} \end{equation}
Use a p{<length>} type.

I've got a suspicion that there's a package to do this automatically (i.e., numbered code examples), but nothing comes to mind right now .

How do you know FEA is giving you.
The three moment equation is one of them, but would not be my choice to the "black box" of canned s/ware the less we really know.

So I have a question concerning the math of the Klein Gorden Equation.
In a Covariant Notation, the Klein Gorden equation has the form:
This is often abbreviated to
But my brain keeps telling me that for that to be true, the part in the covariant form...

Let r(k) be the highest x such that
(x/ln(x))*(1 + 1/ln(x)) = 108.2 + k
such that k is an integer.
Then I want to write
product (k = 0 to 3000) (1-1/r(k)).
How do I do it?
Will it be able to compute this?
With thanks in advance.

The first problem is that the first equation)) = 108.2

It sounds like you would need to solve your first equation for x, and then use the largest of these x for each integer value of k in your second equation.

I just went into a local store tonight to return an open box camera. I purchased it about 4 hours earlier to see if I liked the quality. Obviously I didn't and returned it. I found out after the return, that I will have to wait 90 days before I will be...

Yes I did use it ....
As for the camera.
I returned the open box item in the same condition less then 3 hours later.
It was an open box meaning a cheaper price but unfortunatley the quality didn't compare to my old canaon M41 I had.
