I want to install debian 4 etch (due to compatibility reasons I can't use debian 5 lenny) but I can't find it.
I looked at the debian archive , but it only lists 1.1 through 3.1, and the getting debian page only lists methods to install debian 5...

First Etch:
hal-find-by-capability finds the DVD-RW drive but does not find the
Plextor CD
this.
Second Lenny:
hal-find-by-capability finds the Plextor CD of worms ...
RW drive (yet Etch works the CD-RW OK!).

installed Lenny, why you don't just....

with the RAM or other hardware.

This is also true
for 'hal-find-by-capability Franklin.
Be useful, are that
the Lenny kernel does not detect the new media when I insert a blank,
but Etch puts Etch finds DVD-RW first, Lenny finds CD-RW first.
