Now after reading a post with the lifetime warranties....
BFG was my company till they fell to the side...then XFX and they left for ATI so they fell to the side...then XFX and they left for ATI so I'm now with eVGA.
Been over 5 years.

I assume XFX must have decided to stop giving a lifetime warranty on their cards? Newegg shows them only being 2 years now, yet they are charging a premium price for the XFX cards compared to the other brands. Plus the XFX comes with far fewer accessories...

I just bought an XFX 7970 and found out (after purchase) that the core clock edition only has a 2 year warranty and the warranty is not transferable...
Even the Black edition card does not have a transferable warranty...

What's you favorite card manufacturer? Im not talking nVidia or ATI/AMD, im talking xfx, EVGA, BFG etc... I've so far bought BFG and XFX cards, so far not problems with either. XFX seemed to have a lot more goodies in the box though!

With power supplies the brand can mean a lot in regard to quality. Does the same hold true for gfx cards? Is a power color as good as an xfx if they are clocked the same and running the same chipset? Is evga the best nvidia partner. Do u guys even consider...

So I have a suspicion that coil whine is more due to component and assembly quality than the design of the cards themselves. For example I've rarely seen eVGA cards do the whine while XFX cards almost always do it. Let's find out!
