I have no idea if Meebo has a way.
The Meebo bar is an iframe hosted on Meebo's website and you can't mess with their page style from within your own page.
From what I see, you can't change it.

You have got an object tag and then inside it a param which is fine but its being closed with an embed .
There is something wrong with your markup.

Could you have a shared message queue that ajax can query? Maybe its a php script that stores a majority of the message in memcached (and possibly write to db in case of failure) .
