The difference between an X and Y pipe is relatively that go into midpipes....
Exhaust is all person opinion.

Sometime due to rust,the inside parts of the exhaust may have 'rot'....
Wouldn't want to give them 'blank cheque' for the exhaust job, right?

Okay, I have gytr cans, but I don't know if I have full exhaust or not, how can I tell?
Also, if it turns out I have all factory exhaust aside from the cans, is there a particular y pipe that would suit my gytr exhaust best?

I just had y-pipe changed and am now experiencing the dreaded exhaust flutter. I have 2004 v-10 with Magnaflow cat-back exhaust. I enjoy the added performance but the flutter sounds like crap. I eventually was going to go with headers but am now rethinking...
