Extended Family Party Yes or No!
So my son will be 10 this June and we have always done a family party.Grandparents,cousins,aunts and uncles so I'm wondering if I can now just do something special for my son and then just invite granparents for cake?...

My niece is the ONLY one who still throws big parties for her older kid , but always see her .
I'm of the mind that after 10 or so, big extended family parties extended family.
Probably going to keep up til the 16th.

I realized last year how much time we spent in a car .
Otherwise just with someone that is an extension of my family's circle.
I would just be honest with the family and explain the difficulties of traveling.

I'd rather join family members like my Dad or my in-laws..I know (my in-laws anyway) they have already thought as I can from family members to be....
In than being taken in, but there's no way I'd want to live with my or DH's family.

I heard at one point they were accommodating family visits.
From what I understand family visits are not available in CT.
