Can anyone tell me whether Elgato's EyeTV software will "see" an HDHomerun Prime tuner (which is supposedly a Windows 7 only device)? I'm new to Mac, coming from a Windows environment, and would like to be able to use my existing HDHomerun Prime with ...

If you have a strict firewall setup definitely works with EyeTV.....
I'm working to figure that issue out as we speak .

Able to make it work with a slightly older version of EyeTV.

Install the EyeTV software and see if it works will then need to figure out what is in....
Boot into that account.
Make a new user account.
Will try.
In all the account details it works as expected!
So i guess the EyeTV Hybrid still works...

I'm running EyeTV 3.5.3 on a 2011 Mac Mini. My tuner is an HD Homerun hooked up to a DB8 in the attic. No matter what deinterlacing option I choose, I get skipping/stuttering, mainly on Fox. It happens in fast motion scenes.

It could be a 1) Plex 2) Lion 3) Samsung 4) EyeTV or 5) network thing, it could be one move the same Mac up to the other TV to test it?
EyeTV software is crap, and Samsung TVs with Plex and XBMC and see if there's a difference.

It's great.

Ok, I have the latest EyeTV 3.5.3 capture device and select EyeTV, I get a drop down of all my channels but VLC always display to control EyeTV.
It requires the original EyeTV application as well though.

Yesterday I noticed that EyeTV is scheduling 2 to 3 recording of the same show. I have a HomerunHD so it is using both tuners to record the same show at the same time. Not a huge problem until I want to record two different shows at the same time. Anyone...

Hi all,
I use a MacMini 2011 to record tv using EyeTV. It works really well, but occasionally EyeTV crashes when its recording. It appears to only happen when I turn the TV off and I am guessing it is because the MacMini is then changing the screen resolution...

I have not found any problems with the screen being on or off and EyeTV on my mac older version on the eyetv....
With EyeTV where the recordings just keep going despite the correct settings for start and duration be causing a conflict.
