I personally think it looks like some teenage girl was bored one night, wrote it up, colored it, and stuck it on eBay. I think the whole thing is a steamy pile of shite.

Is Paul Krugman a farce?
Krugman did kind of go off the deep end during the Bush years, even if he has done some really good work in the past. Without Bush, he's also gone all in for wanton spending--including an op-ed piece complaining about governors who are acting within the budgetary bounds they must. It's quite unfortunate, because he could have spent his time so much more productively.

Thorpe nearing retirement?
Is it just coincidence that breaking bones seems to be so common amongst swimmers, or does spending huge amounts of time in the water with the bones not bearing any weight cause swimmers to have weak bones? I'd have thought that the gym work that swimmers do ought to compensate, but it just seems unusually common for swimmers to break bones when falling or something, whereas normally you'd only expect broken bones to result from such situations if the person is elderly.

Its stupid thats what it is, it should have been cancelled. We are so poor at the moment, even if Russia don't win tonight, we will probably lose out last match.
