Scripting appeared later, and script access to the stage's FPS ...
There is no difference, and the description of stage.framerate is here uhm, it is two different, like the rest of the animation ...
Just for those that can't see the difference (or more importantly, those in denial as needing an upgrade)... I notice a massive difference playing BF3 at 80+fps on one 1920x1080 rather than 35 -50 ish on a 5760x1080... http://www.boallen.com/fps-compare...

Those with a decent enough setup to muster a constant 40-80 ....
Yeah in most games 30 fps is just fine as long fps in bf3 at native 1920x1080 res - to be honest its mainly why I suck so bad.
Exceptions, like Crysis 1 is fine at 30 for me .
Set aside overall performance. But fps is different on compain map: Prologue ~ 20-25 (30-35 over water) Main ~ 7-8 (9-10 over water) Has anyone the same issue?

Main campaign map I get ....
On the prologue, i get 36 fps on the map (omg?) and 27 in battles! It's too bad I can't test the prologue FPS easily.
You are right! I get 15 FPS on both the map and battles in the main campaign.

My evga gts 450 gets 40 to 100 fps in WoW the graphics card run better.
Get something with at least a 3.2 cpu quad core, 8 gb ddr3, a 6 gb sata hd and decent graphics card .

TBH I have seen these fps levels out of the card in the past with these wild fluctuations when for example a new video card ....
That one little reboot of the PC with no other changed wouldn't make a 150 fps difference but i've seen.

So I looked up the benchmark scores for an HD 6850 and it says on crysis 1920X1200: it runs at 24.1-36.1 FPS. Are these playable FPS? And if I overclocked the gpu would it make a difference and by how much?

I always lower settings to get more fps.

I always felt that 25+fps was pretty smooth/playable on Crysis, possibly due performance.
Settings to boost FPS though.
When building a "first person shooter" game similar to Doom 3 , Quake 4 or Crysis (on a licensed engine), how much time is it going to take, including engine tweaks, 3D modeling, level building, and testing, assuming there is a team of capable software...

Go read, how many zombies will the game have? These days (end of 2008), a big FPS game takes 10-30 million FPS shooter might be done in....
Long answer: If you have to ask a question like this, then you are not ready to make a FPS.
When i am on spectate, i have a solid 40-50 fps even when im flying around the map. Once i join marine or alien my fps drops to 6 fps. Anyone have any ideas why this is?

I dont really know how to put pictures here so imma just list the things given from r_stats... .
Your huge drop in FPS does seem a little CSS pretty smoothly like around 100-150 fps.
Are only viewing the world rather than interacting with it .
