Am using them on the treadmill motion control shoes disappeared, and I was able to run (albeit relatively short distance) much more impression that humongous great clod hopping....

Well, it's about 51 more pairs than I have, OP, and that's including my winter boots and summer sandals.
To each their own. Shoes and handbags have never really been my 'thing', but I know many women that have probably at least as many shoes as you do...
